Cheese & Tomato Pizza
Pizza Dough Ingredients
225g Flour
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Instant Dried Yeast
1 tbsp Olive Oil
Warm water
5 Tomatos Sliced
I00g Mozzarella
2tbIs Basil Shredded
Pizza Sauce Ingredients
2 Tomatos (riper the better)
2T Tomato Paste
2T Onion (finely chopped)
2 Garlic Clovers (finely chopped)
1/2t Dried oregano
1/2 t Chilli (optional)
Salt
Sugar
Method
In a large bowl mix together the flour, yeast, and salt, then add the olive oil and warm water a little at a time to form a soft dough. Kneed for five minutes then cover and leave in a warm place to rise.
Whizz together the ingredients for the tomato sauce then gently cook for five to ten minutes and season with salt and sugar to taste then cool. Pre-heat the Multi Kai Cooker and place a basket upside down in the cooker then a tile or pizza stone on top which you will have to cut to fit or find the right size and heat till at maximum temp.
Knock back the pizza dough and divide into two balls, cover and let rise again, next cover a board with Polenta, this will allow you to slide the pizza off the board, and roll out the dough to a thin round or a shape that will fit your stone or tile.
Cover the pizza with tomato sauce add sliced tomatoes, mozzarella and chopped basil. Now your ready to cook, carefully slide the pizza on to the pre-heated stone and close up the Kai Cooker to keep the heat in, cook till the pizza has a nice golden colour and crisp base, slice and serve immediately.
